Paolo Gentiloni has been President of the Council of Ministers since December 2016. He was Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation from October 2014 to December 2016. A member of the National Founding Committee of the Democratic Party, Mr. Gentiloni was elected Member of Parliament for the first time in 2001 and then re-elected in 2006, 2008, 2013 and 2018. Chairman of the broadcasting Services Watchdog Committee in 2005, he was part of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chamber of Deputies from 2013 to 2015. He served as Minister for Communications in Romano Prodi’s government between 2006 and 2008.
