Open Day

The Historical Archives of the European Union will host an Open Day on Saturday 12 May 2018, from 10.00 to 17.30, at Villa Salviati in Florence.

Villa Salviati is accessible to pedestrians only, from the gates at Via Bolognese 156 and Via Faentina 261. Participation in the Open Day is free.

It will be a day of arts, music and circus shows for young and old to enjoy together in the name of a united Europe.

10:00 – 16:00 | Guided visits

You can register for guided visits to the main Villa, chapel, the gardens, and grottoes of Villa Salviati, including the vaults of the HAEU, by contacting Associazione Città Nascosta directly, starting four weeks before the Open Day (as of the 9^th of April). The guided visits to the vaults, which are a part of the overall tour, will be given by the archivists of the European University Institute.

10:00 – 17:10 | Circus workshops: Blanca Teatro proposes the circus school Passe Passe

These workshops will include juggling, acrobatics, artistic make-up, balancing acts and trapeze, teaching everyone the basics of various circus disciplines.
