Loris De Filippi
Loris De Filippi has been the President of Médecins Sans Frontières Italy since 2012. In February 2017 he was also appointed Emergency Coordinator for MSF, based in Switzerland. During his presidency of the Italian branch, he has participated in emergency missions and humanitarian assistance programs with MSF and other organizations in Syria, Mauritania, Central African Republic and Ukraine. He coordinated emergency operations in challenging disaster contexts, including the 2005 tsunami in Indonesia and the earthquake in Haiti in 2010. Since December 2014, De Filippi has also been Public Health Consultant Field coordinator for the World Health Organization. Previously he was the Emergency Specialist Consultant for UNICEF.
