Federica Mogherini

Federica Mogherini is the High Representative of the European Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission. Previously, she was Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Italy and between 2013-2014 she was Head of the Italian delegation to the NATO parliamentary assembly. From 2008 to 2014 she was a Member of the Italian Parliament, and was also a Member of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe for five years until 2013. In her current role she leads the ‘Europe in the World’ project, represents the EU at international forums such as the United Nations and chairs the Commission’s Group on External Action to deliver a common approach for EU action on the world stage.
