Matteo Renzi has been Prime Minister of Italy since taking office in February 2014. He was elected Secretary of the Italian Democratic Party in December 2013 and served as Mayor of Florence from 2009 to 2014. Previously, he was elected President of the Province of Florence in 2004. He is a graduate of the University of Florence, and has been editor-in chief of the periodical Camminiamo Insieme. He is the author and co-author of several books including Ma le giubbe rosse non uccisero Aldo Moro (2011), Fuori, Stil novo (2012), and Oltre la Rottamazione (2013).
