Irina Isaakyan

Irina Isaakyan is a Research Associate at the EUI Global Governance Programme in the Cultural Pluralism research area. Holding PhD from the University of Edinburgh and MA from the University of Minnesota, she has been working in the area of high-skill migration (including academic mobility and artists’ global migrations) and exploring links between globalization and nationalism, and between integration and transnationalism. She previously conducted research – as Marie Curie Intra-European Fellow and ESRC Post-Doctoral Fellow – in the issues of gender and diaspora studies, immigrant identities and social remittances. She was also Reader and Research Fellow at the Ryazan State Radio-Engineering University in Russia and at the University of Edinburgh.
