Fabrizio Bernardi is Professor of Sociology at the EUI. Since 2013 he has held the elected Chair of the Board of the European Consortium for Social Research. He is also a founding member of the Comparative Life Course and Inequality Research Centre at the EUI. He is the coordinator of the work-package Family dynamics and inequalities in children life chances within the FP7 project Family and Societies. Previously he taught at the Faculty of Sociology at UNED in Spain and at the University of Bielefeld. His current research interests lie in social stratification, inequality in educational opportunities and educational returns, family and labour market dynamics.
