Alice Margaria is a Post-doctoral Researcher at the Fundamental Rights Laboratory in Turin and a Lecturer at Koç University. She holds a PhD in Law from the European University Institute. Her doctoral project investigated the construction of fatherhood emerging from the jurisprudence of the European Court of Human Rights. She was invited as a visiting scholar at various institutions, such as Emory University and the Max Planck Institute for Social Anthropology. She also worked with international and non-governmental organisations, including UNICEF Office of Research, OSCE and Human Rights Law Network. Her current research explores the impact of societal and scientific developments on the determination of legal parenthood, from a comparative perspective.
