Stefano Polli is the deputy Director of ANSA (Agenzia Nazionale Stampa Associata) the leading press agency in Italy. After having worked as a journalist with numerous newspapers, he entered ANSA in 1988 writing on international affairs and diplomacy. During the 1990s he covered major international events, including the Gulf War, as a special correspondent. Before his current appointment, he was the Editor of International Affairs. He has also written various publications on the EU and its integration process.
