
Dario Nardella
Dario Nardella is the Mayor of Florence. Past roles include President of the Florence City Commission on Education, Culture and Sports (2004-2009), legislative advisor for the Minister of Institutional Reforms in the Prime Minister’s cabinet (2006-2008) and President of the National Committee for Economic Development of Italian Municipalities (2012). In February 2013 he was elected to the Italian Parliament, a position he resigned from in February 2014, following his appointment as ad interim Mayor of Florence. In May 2014, he won the local elections and was officially elected Mayor.
